Everything You Need to Know for the Event
We’ve summarized important information for you below. You can find the full schedule on the Congressional Conference Website. Please note that there's still time to register for our 7th Annual DEI Symposium which takes place on Monday, May 23rd from 9 am -12 noon and is free of charge.

Conference Hotel – All Congressional Conference events are being held at the Marriott Renaissance DC Downtown at 999-9th St NW, Washington DC. Please note: For those driving in, self-parking is $35 and valet is $60.
Meeting Registration – Registration opens on Sunday, May 22nd from 2:30-5:30 pm. Please wear your name badge to all NAIFA events and your Capitol Hill meetings. Please do not pick up the name badge(s) of other NAIFA attendees – if you registered a guest, their badge will be in your registration packet.
Day on Capitol Hill Legislative and CEO Panels (May 23rd) – Please attend the 1:30 to 4:30 pm Advocacy Preparation sessions. The State Caucus meetings have already been held virtually, so please reach out to your state if you weren’t able to attend and need to be briefed on talking points. Day on Capitol Hill (May 24th) – NAIFA will provide a “grab and go” breakfast at the hotel from 7:00-8:00 am. As a reminder – you will not be allowed to bring your luggage into Capitol offices, so please leave your luggage at the hotel or store it at the NAIFA Hospitality Hall on Capitol Hill (see below).
NAIFA Hospitality Hall (May 24th) – The Hospitality Hall will be open 7:00 am - 5:00 pm and located in the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 212 East Capitol St., NE, Washington, D.C. While you are on Capitol Hill, you can store your luggage, grab a snack, network with fellow attendees, and share your thoughts on video. It is within walking distance of Congressional offices and the Capitol Reflection Pool, where we will take a group photo Tuesday morning (see below).
Photos and Videos (May 24th) – NAIFA will take a photo of all Congressional Conference attendees at the U.S. Capitol Reflecting Pool by the U.S. Grant memorial at 8:30 am on May 24th. Please arrive before 8:30 to be included. NAIFA will shoot testimonial videos at the Hospitality Hall throughout the day on May 24th.
NAIFA's D.C. Passport Program (May 24th) – When you aren't meeting with legislators, participate in NAIFA's D.C. Passport Program to experience the industry’s impact throughout history. Take a photo of yourself at each stop to create a passport you can take to August in-district visits with members of Congress. The passports show the impact our industry has had on famous figures from U.S. history and important historical events. It also demonstrates to lawmakers your Congressional Conference participation and commitment to NAIFA's advocacy mission. See a sample passport.
Dress Code – The dress code for May 23rd is business casual. The dress code for your Congressional appointments on May 24th is business attire. We also recommend packing comfortable shoes, extra business cards, an umbrella, and don't forget your NAIFA membership lapel pin!
IFAPAC Silent Auction – IFAPAC will hold a silent auction during the reception on May 23rd. Among the items available to bid on are: an autographed Brad Paisley photo, an autographed Steve Garvey baseball, the Official 2022 White House Easter Egg set, an autographed Tony Richardson NFL jersey, a Mount Vernon Distillery Package, and a George Washington historic pen.
Whova App – We recommend that you download the Whova app to your phone before you arrive in Washington, D.C., to access Conference resources such as meeting agendas, talking points, and meeting debriefing forms. You can find the app in the Apple Store and on Google Play by searching “Whova.” The event invitation code is Advocate2022. A QR code for the app is here.
