Time to Grow! | 2nd edition of NAIFA Leaders

Congratulations and thank you for another wonderful Performance + Purpose conference! We loved seeing everyone in San Antonio and working together in our Leadership meeting to envision a new NAIFA with our new President, Jill Judd.

Jill kicked off the meeting letting us know that this trail is ours to blaze together, Kevin Mayeux provided a variety of updates on new products and programs for NAIFA and Suzanne Carawan provided an outline of next steps for leaders to take to help us align our efforts and amplify our message.

We had a very successful conference with a lot of buzz about the future of NAIFA! Together we beat our goal of $80K in contributions to IFAPAC by raising over $110K! Energy was high, new exhibitors were in attendance and the inaugural BrainDates was a success!

The NAIFA 20/20 Implementation Handbook was posted in mid-July. Please check regularly for updates, and note the following deadlines:

September 24: Local Chapter Agreement Application Due

October 30: Merger and dissolution paperwork is due for locals that are to become affiliates

If you haven't already done so, please begin working on dissolutions of future local affiliates. More information and guidance on mergers and dissolutions can be found here.

This month's survey focuses on you, and asks the question, "What skills would you like to further develop as a leader and what topics are of interest?" We're thinking of designing a webinar series for leaders-only and want to know if you think this type of study group-inspired virtual event would be of interest/benefit to you.

We have done it again! We announced the availability of the first interactive competency model-based self assessment tool called Professional Pathway at P+P. See for yourself!
Learning Center

Membership Updates

Each month, we will highlight initiatives to undertake together to help attract new members and recognize the outstanding work of all our members.

P+P Member Drive
We held a call campaign at P+P to bring back lapsed members onsite at P+P. We brought back dozens of members while onsite. Additionally, we brought more than 20 new people into the fold who both attended for the first time & joined. To show our pride, look for the #NAIFAproud

National Membership Day
We are expanding and evolving the way we handle National Membership Day. We would still love if you called prospects & referred members, but we would love even more if you shared your stories of what NAIFA means to you in writing, video, photos (we'll take poetry, songs, artwork, whatever moves you) because as you well know, stories sell! Our October 3rd Leader Debrief will review what you need to do to make National Membership Day the biggest success yet!

Member Recruiting at P+P
A HUGE shout out to those who got on the phone and called lapsed members in the middle of P+P! We started the weekend with -380 and now are at -340! What a difference one weekend and a few calls makes!

Congratulations to New Jersey for recruiting 20 new members this fiscal year!

Advisor Ambassador Program Update

More than 100 prospective members have signed up to participate in our new recruitment program focused on attracting and activating early-career advisors.

We've been working with the Advisor Ambassador YAT committee to put together a fantastic line up of speakers and refining the program. Updates will come each month on the progress of the program

Our first marketing effort to recruit participants was run through our partner InsuranceNewsNet. We will hold a special webinar on Wednesday, October 31 at Noon eastern to roll out the Advisor Ambassador Program kit to Leaders for how you can promote the program for 2019.
